"Albert Peter Duran, known affectionately as Al and Papa, Daddy, passed away peacefully on October 10, 2024, leaving a legacy of love and strength in the hearts of his family and friends. Born in Stockton, California, in November 1940, Al lived a life marked by devotion, service, and unwavering support for those he loved.
A proud veteran, Al served his country with honor for 20 years, exemplifying the values of courage and dedication. His family remembers him as the rock of their household—a steadfast presence whose gruff exterior belied a gentle soul. Al was deeply committed to ensuring that his loved ones had everything they needed, pouring his heart into every moment spent with them.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Rose; his daughter, Sonny; two cherished granddaughters; and four great-grandchildren. While his family is heartbroken by his passing, they find solace in knowing that he is watching over them, reunited with his mother and sister in Heaven.
Al's spirit will forever be felt in the laughter and memories he created, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him. In honoring his memory, we celebrate a life filled with love, kindness, and unyielding support.
