Life story
" Anthony D. Singleton aka Tony, was born on January 14, 1976, in Washington DC. to the late Josephine Singleton-Mooring and Albert Fortune Jr. In his teens he gained a bonus Dad the late John Mooring. He was the youngest of (7) children. (1) Sister Kiki by his mother. (2) sisters Arlene and Sharon, (4) brothers Edward, Donald, Lonelle, and Paul by his father. He has (7) aunts, and (4) uncles by his mother, and (2) aunts by his father. He has (14 ) nieces and nephews, and a host of great nieces, nephews, and cousins who loved him dearly.
Growing up, Tony was quite close with one of his cousins William Mosley Jr. known as Lil Bill. A day didn't go by in the summer that the pair of them didn't wake up early every morning, grab their fishing or hunting gear, and head to the creek or woods to go either fishing or hunting. They were the outdoor boys.
Tony's last year of high school, he had his only son, Anthony ( Lil Tony) Singleton, Jr. At a young age, he did everything he could to be the best father he could be for his son. It wasn't a day that had gone by he didn't talk about his son. He would pull out his wallet, and the first thing you saw was his sons picture. He would go on for days about his plans for his sons future. It's nothing like a father who loves his son.
Tony always loved driving big trucks. He worked many different jobs in his lifetime, but his favorite was being a delivery driver where he would deliver appliances and furniture for stores like Marlow Furniture, Lowes and others. He used his truck to help others, you name it, if it's on his truck, it's coming to you. He loved it so much he was trying to find a way to have a trucking business of his own. He met a lot of his good friends, being a truck driver. He was great at what he did. He always said, "Let's make this go quick so we can chill later".
What people didn't know about Tony, he would give you the clothes off his back and the shoes off his feet to anyone that needed them and didn't look for nothing in return. He had that kind of giving heart. He was a smooth and cool dude. He always had a fresh pair of 990s, Shooter, Polo, or Salbiato. He knew he was fly when he stepped out. He made sure he took a pic in the body mirror and posted it, letting everybody know it ain't right if Tony ain't tight.
He loved hanging out with his friends and God Children. Tony loved the kids. They can get anything they want when he came around. Even if their parents said no, he would sneak it to them. In his eyes, he ain't happy if the kids ain't happy.
In the end, Tony was an honorable father, brother, son, nephew, cousin, and friend. You can always count on him. He looked out for all of us. Even if you were wrong, he would let you know, but he wouldn't leave you hanging. He's a friend to the end without a doubt. He will truly be missed but never forgotten. Keep him here with us by thinking of all the great times we've shared, all the laughs we've had, and all the bottles we've popped. Let's celebrate that he's no longer suffering and living the good life without any pain, stress, or bills. He's chilling, watching over us and protecting us from above. RIP Tony, we will love you today, tomorrow, and forever. "
