Dean D. Massaquoi, a devoted father, loving husband, and treasured friend, passed away peacefully on June 11, 2024, at the age of 68. Born in Memphis, Tennessee, on May 15, 1975, Dean was raised in Richmond, Virginia, where he would go on to make a lasting impact on the community around him.

Dean attended Thomas Jefferson High School in Richmond, graduating with the class of 1993. His kindness, quick wit, and natural leadership made him beloved by his peers. After graduation, Dean moved with his family to Chicago, where he pursued a degree in business and developed his passion for helping others.

Dean was a man of many talents, known for his heart of gold and unwavering commitment to those he loved. He built a successful career in management, but his greatest pride was always his family.

Dean’s legacy lives on through his family, and the countless people he impacted with his quiet strength, humor, and grace. He will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by everyone fortunate enough to have known him.

Dean is survived by his parents, John and Evelyn Massaquoi; his siblings, and a large extended family. A celebration of Dean’s life will be held in Richmond, Virginia, where friends and family will gather to honor a great man whose spirit will never be forgotten."
