Life story

" Amanda Leigh (Shouse) Nestor of Spotsylvania, VA passed away on August 26, 2024 at the age of 42.

Amanda was born on April 25, 1982 in Fairfax, VA to William (Bill) F. Shouse, Jr. and Wanda Ross Sommer. She grew up in Stafford and Orange attending Orange County High School. Growing up Amanda had a love for and collected unicorns, she was active in Girl Scouts, and she enjoyed our big family events. She loved country music, animals, riding ATV’s, hiking, fishing and swimming in the creek, cooking, and she was extremely good at playing Monopoly and Spades. Amanda was very creative and liked to draw and craft. She was very handy with most tools and she liked fixing things.

Amanda is survived by her mother, Wanda Sommer and stepfather Clifton of Spencer, WV; father Bill Shouse and stepmother Mary of Mineral, VA; siblings April Shouse of Stafford, VA, Charlotte Sommer of Spencer, WV, David Hines of Woodbridge, VA, Tiffany Hines of Manassas, VA; and extended family McKenzie, Timothy (TJ), Aidyn, and Aydrianna.

Amanda was preceded in death by her brother William Granville Shouse in 1989.

A private memorial will be held at a later date. "
