Life story

" Joanne was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland on December 4th, 1960, the youngest of her 5 sisters, and later relocated to Frederickburg, Virginia with her daughter, Amber, in 1996. Joanne was a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was caring, creative, funny, and beautiful. She always said that
having her daughter was the best thing she ever did. She loved her son-in-law and her daughter's best friends like they were her own children, and they loved her like a bonus mom. Her greatest joys in life were found in laughing and spending time with the people she loved, and playing with her grandchildren.

She sadly passed away at her home after a long battle with cancer on August 2nd, 2024. She was 63 years old.

A celebration of life will be held privately by her daughter on August 25th.
