" Lisa Elayne Nichols (Rutherford), 63, of Fredericksburg, Virginia, passed away on July 17, 2024.
Born on March 29, 1961, in Alexandria, Virginia, she was the cherished daughter of Anna
Rutherford and the late Allan Rutherford. Lisa was also preceded in death by her brother, Scott
Rutherford.
Lisa graduated from Garfield High School and dedicated many years of service as a Customer
Service Representative at Goetz Printing in Springfield, VA. Known for her loving and kind
nature, Lisa never met a person she didn't like and was deeply caring towards everyone in her
community.
Lisa's life was marked by her devotion to her family and friends, with whom she loved spending
time. She leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness, survived by her son, Jeff Nichols Jr.;
daughter-in-law, Jami Nichols; grandson, Devin Nichols; daughter, Melissa Smith; son-in-law,
Harrison Smith III; grandchildren, Raylan and Lisa Smith; significant other, Randy Parsons;
ex-husband, Jeff Nichols Sr.; mother, Anna Rutherford; step-father, Greg Miller; sister, Robyn
Smarr and brother-in-law Doug Smarr
A Celebration of Life will be held in her honor at Freedom Church in Stafford on Friday, August
9, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Lisa's life and memory will be cherished by all who knew
her as a beacon of warmth and generosity. "
