Life story

"Al grew up, and lived in, the Chicagoland area before relocating to Northwest Indiana for a brief period after retirement. Al greatly enjoyed living in Southwest Michigan for 10 years before relocating to Virginia to live with his son, David, and daughter-in-law, Jessica, in 2021. Al was an avid Formula One fan and enjoyed watching Jeopardy and reading. Al retired from a sales career at Sears, then went on to sell cars at Lexus of Orland, IL for some time. Al developed Parkinson’s disease, but demonstrated remarkable strength and determination, making significant progress over the past three years. His indomitable spirit and relentless perseverance were an inspiration to all who knew him. Sadly, a severe fall compounded the difficulties he faced, ultimately leading to his passing. In remembrance of Al’s life, the family asks that any charitable donations be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation. "
