Life story

"Mr. James Melvin Williams, 82, husband of Carol Orr Williams, passed away Sunday, May 16, 2021. Born in Dacusville, SC, a son of the late George G.B. Bruce Williams and the late Martha Elizabeth Nimmons Williams, Mr. Williams was a graduate of Dacusville High School, later received his Associate Degree from Clemson Agricultural College and retired from Phillips Petroleum with over thirty years of service. He was of the Baptist faith. James loved boating, traveling with his wife and was an avid golfer. He will be dearly missed by all who loved and knew him. Surviving, in addition to his wife of forty-seven years are numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Williams was predeceased by a brother, Bruce Williams; and a sister, Evelyn Edens. The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM Friday, May 21, 2021 at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
