Life story

"Stanley Windemuller, 85, of Graafschap, passed away on Saturday, May 15, 2021, at his home. Stan was born on August 6, 1935, in Holland, to Herman and Ethel (Van Nuil) Windemuller. He graduated from Holland Christian High School in 1953 and started working in the family business Windemuller Grocery Store. Stan enjoyed working on the Ottawa County Sheriff Marine Patrol and on the Park Township Fire Department. He married Hazel Rotman on February 7, 1969 and they raised their four children together at their home in Graafschap. Stan\'s career in upholstery started in 1970 at Slickcraft, then Tiara Yachts, and lastly Herman Miller before his retirement. He was preceded in death by his siblings: Chuck Windemuller, Norma Rhoda, and Beth Rhoda, and in-laws Robert Lemson, Robert Rhoda, Richard Rhoda, Roger and Alma Rotman. Stan was also a founding member of the Holland Vintage Car Club. He loved model T\'s and was a longtime member of the Model T Ford Club International. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Hazel, their children: Judy and Brian Bristow of Holland, Jerry and Christy Windemuller of Zeeland, Jon and Shelly Windemuller of Holland, Jason and Mindi Windemuller of Zeeland; grandchildren: Jessica and Bryce Tenckinck, Jennifer Bristow, Josh Petrick, Brandon Bristow, Jen Riegler; Matthew, AJ, and Zachary Boersen; Hunter and Hudson Windemuller; Ashley and Clerveau Toussaint, Megan and Brian Quist, Tanner Windemuller; great-grandchildren: Hayden, Ben, Harlie, Jovie, Jocelynne, Zion; sister Phyllis Lemson, sister-in-law Norma Windemuller, in-laws: Earl and Joyce Rotman, Karen and Terry Schurman, Cal and Bobbi Rotman, Ron and Char Biolette, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. A funeral service to honor the faith and life of Stan Windemuller will be held at 2:00 pm, Thursday, May 20, 2021, at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 1015 E. 32nd Street, Holland MI 49423, with Rev. Kenneth Klett officiating. Visitation will be 4-7 pm, Wednesday at Covenant Presbyterian Church, and 1:00-1:45 Thursday prior to the funeral. Interment will be at Gibson Cemetery(Laketown Township).
